Looks like Singapore is gearing up to reclaim their number one spot as the “World’s Best Airport”, as Changi Airport will be building a brand new massive “green” hotel complete with a “floating forest”, rooftop day club, infinity pool and more!

Called Hotel Indigo Changi Airport, the new hotel will also serve as a new attraction within the airport, with parts of the hotel located within the public area of the airport and connected via linkway to Terminal 2. Just like many of Changi Airport’s other attractions, the hotel will also incorporate plenty of lush flora and fauna into the architecture and decor. One of the most notable design features has got to be the mega 7-storey tall “Floating Forest” that will boast luxuriant layers of rainforest and hanging plants.

The hotel will be built at the existing Terminal 2 Coach Stand and will have some 255 rooms, a rooftop day club, in-house bar and infinity pool complete with stunning views of the airport runway, boulevard and skyline. The new hotel will be the first ever zero-energy hotel in Singapore and is set to be open to the public by 2028. For more information on the new hotel, see here.
