Just a couple months back, the viral circular croissants inspired by a New York bakery took Singapore’s social media by storm, with at least 5 local bakeries making their very own rendition of the oozy, flaky and IG-worthy treat. Hot on the heels of the circular croissants’ raging success, one Singaporean bakery is looking to create the next viral sensation with yet another one-of-a-kind iteration of the French pastry.
Following La Levain’s La LeBombz (their version of the circular croissant), they have just launched a brand new item: the Croyaki, a unique cross between a croissant and yakitori! These Croyaki have been softly launched on La Levain’s website a couple days ago, and will make their in-store debut today! The new Croyaki are basically deconstructed croissants on a stick, making them super convenient treats to have on the go as you bite them off layer by layer, yakitori or satay-style.
Dulce de Leche with Valrhona Opalys Pearls, $5.80
Ispahan with Valrhona Raspberry Pearls, $5.80
Smokey Bacon and Parmigiano Reggiano, $6.20
Currently there are 3 flavours in total, with 2 sweet and 1 savoury flavour. For those with a sweet tooth, try the Dulce de Leche with Valrhona Opalys Pearls ($5.80) or Ispahan with Valrhona Raspberry Pearls ($5.80). For a savoury classic, the Smokey Bacon and Parmigiano Reggiano ($6.20) will definitely be right up your alley. If you’re looking to get your hands on this next viral treat, you better set your alarms and get ready to camp for them on La Levain’s site as only 30 per flavour will be released online; and 10 per flavour in-store. That means La Levain will only bake a total of 40 per flavour each day; so fastest fingers first folks!
