There’s a new interactive experience in town, and it’s none other than the famous Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind experience by the renowned Moment Factory. The exhibition is opening this weekend at the ArtScience Museum, and if you’ve already gotten your tickets, or are thinking of checking it out—these are some of the highlights.

Mirror Mirror is designed to be a thought-provoking and interactive experience that combines vibrant lights, sounds, illusion and art. The installations in the exhibition are uniquely designed around themes like consciousness, memory and identity. There are 8 different rooms to explore in total, and here’s a sneak peek of what to expect from each room:
1. Doorways

Your experience starts with Doorways, where you’ll choose between one of 3 coloured “doors”, each leading to a different room for you to kickstart your journey through the exhibition. It’s kind of like a “choose-your-own-adventure” experience! Don’t worry too much about picking the door—you’ll still get to experience all the rooms, just in a different order.
2. Memory Storage

With all the flashing LED lights in this room, you might just mistake it for an underground club! Here, metal bars and LED lights are arranged in a lattice-like structure, meant to represent the way memory is stored. You can add a piece of your own memory by scanning the QR code to input any keyword you want, and watch as your word is flashed across the room.
3. Open Windows

This installation uses AI to create haiku poems in real time, accompanied by beautiful digital graphics and effects. You can also watch your own “personalised” haiku poems displayed onscreen by inputting any 2 words you want via the QR code.
4. Forest of Echoes

Welcome to a forest of endless mirrors and laser lights: you might just get lost in this mirror maze! The space is filled with mirrored pillars all around and if you stand at just the right spot, you’ll be able to see yourself reflected countless times all around you.
5. Moodscape

This dreamy room is probably one of our favourites, the whole room is filled with fog and lit with ever-changing rainbow colours. There’s also swings and benches located inside for you to relax and soak in the moody ambience.
6. Brainstorm

Throw foam balls at the screen to create a unique “collage” of graphics, the more balls thrown, the more spectacular the images created. This installation is meant to mimic the magic that happens when you brainstorm ideas together.
7. Grey Matter

This informative room lets you visualise how neurons are fired in your brain through various graphics and educational interviews played onscreen.
8. Mirrors of Tomorrow

This is yet another interactive room, almost like a virtual “tarot reading” experience. Stand in front of a screen and wave your hand to “select” your card. Then head to the side to collect the actual card that corresponds to your personalised “reading”. You get to take home this card as a keepsake from the exhibition!

Mirror Mirror opens at the ArtScience Museum this weekend, from 8th March 2025 onwards. Tickets to the experience are priced at $22 per adult, and you can purchase them online here.
