Nemesis Bar is truly a wild one: step inside and you’ll find out why. The walls are plastered with portraits of prominent historical figures like Johannes Baptista Franck, Madame Jacques Louis Leblanc, Johannes Wtenbogaert and more.
Seems arty and classy enough, but that’s not all—every single one of these portraits are defaced in pop-art fashion with colourful animations of various plants, sea creatures and other things.
In comparison to the eccentric decor, the menu at Nemesis Bar is much more tame. Try their fried Lasagna ($14) or one of their 10’ Pizzas (from $13) made with hand-kneaded sourdough.
Nemesis Bar’s philosophy is to serve up fruits and vegetables in their cocktails, so don’t pass up on their House Cocktails ($23 each): try the Raisin’ Perfection, Manly Glass or Ol’ Salty. Or, for a healthier choice, go for one of their signature NoLo (No-or-Low ABV) Aperitivos ($19 each), such as the Odessa, Sunset Drip or Antebellum. Each cocktail highlights a hero ingredient: be it fresh herbs, fruit and vegetable garnishes or house-made cordials.
