On the lookout for something new to do in JB? The Hidden Farm is the latest petting zoo and farm in Mount Austin’s industrial area, located about 20 minutes away from the checkpoint, with about 40 different animals you can see and interact with.

The petting farm houses some unique and even exotic species, including the fan-favourite alpacas, goats, fennec foxes, hedgehogs, ducks, turtles, parrots, rabbits and guinea pigs. There are also more exotic species, including an entire area for reptiles: like snakes, chameleons, lizards, frogs and more. The entire petting farm is also indoors, so you don’t have to worry about being in the heat like some other farm experiences.

There’s also an in-house café you can relax at with eats like grilled chicken, pasta, fish and chips, assorted fried snacks, desserts and more. Tickets are priced at RM38 per adult (~$11.50 SGD per adult) on weekdays, and RM 48 per adult (~$14.50 SGD per adult) on weekends. The entrance fee grants visitors unlimited access to the entire space; there’s no time limit, so you can take your time exploring and spend as long as you want at the farm.

While there might be some concerns regarding the welfare of all the animals within the farm, The Hidden Farm is situated within a massive high-ceilinged warehouse space for better ventilation, and each animal species has their own separate open-air enclosure. Visitors to the petting farm have also pointed out that the animals are much better managed compared to some other petting cafés, and staff are stationed at every animal enclosure so visitors can only pet them under careful supervision.
