You’ve probably seen and heard lots about this Korean delicacy from all the Kdramas and social media—the notorious live octopus (san-nakji). As one of the most daunting seafood items to eat, you either love it or hate it.

If you’ve always been curious to try this infamous seafood delicacy, now you can, right here in Singapore! Pohang Seafood is an authentic Korean sashimi restaurant that offers all kinds of fresh sashimi and seafood, as well as the iconic live octopus.
Once you can overcome the shocking visuals of the dish—cut tentacle pieces wriggling and writhing about in a pool of sesame oil and sesame seeds—you’ll probably find that aside from the ultra-chewy texture, the most prominent part of the dish is the fragrance of the sesame oil.
For first timers eating the Live Octopus ($50), make sure to chew thoroughly before swallowing! For orders above $200, the restaurant will serve you a complimentary dish of the live octopus! If you’re not adventurous enough to try the live octopus, you can opt for their other sashimi or cooked mains like the Raw Fish Bibimbap ($22), Seafood Hand-Pulled Dough Soup ($16), Spicy Monkfish Stew ($48) and more!
