You might know the viral Bao’s Pastry bakery from China that’s landed in Singapore, known for their best-selling floss buns; and if you’re planning to make a visit, they’ve just launched a new treat you might want to try.
@shout.sg JIGGLY MOCHI PUDDING BUNS! This viral bakery in Singapore has just launched a new mochi pudding treat from just $1.80 each, with mochi buns filled with creamy milk pudding! Bao’s Pastry Address: 60 Paya Lebar Rd, B1-05 Paya Lebar Square, Singapore 409051

Bao’s Pastry has recently released a new Mochi Pudding: a combination of chewy mochi and also creamy pudding. The mochi buns are freshly-made in-house daily with their own mochi dough recipe, and filled with creamy and rich milk pudding filling. The result? A light mochi treat that hits the spot if you’re craving something sweet without the guilt.

The pudding filling itself is jiggly, and reminds us of soya beancurd or tau huey. You can bite right into it to get both the mochi bun and pudding together, or use a spoon to scoop just the pudding. Together, the mochi pudding is very minimally sweetened, and the milk taste is not too overwhelming on the palette.

They’re meant to be eaten chilled for the best taste, and can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. The Mochi Pudding is available in a box of 2 Pieces ($3.60) or 4 Pieces ($6.80) at Bao’s Pastry. Bao’s Pastry also has lots of bakes and treats that sell-out daily, including “snowball” buns, mochi balls, croissant tarts, cookies and more.
