The sister cafe of the famous Lola’s Cafe, On The Table settles on the stretch of Pasir Panjang Road, less than 15 minutes from NUS campus. Another hidden spot to escape from the hustle and bustle, Envy Coffee seeks to spoil you and your friends with their range of burgers, sandwiches, pastas and breakfast plates – of course, complimentary wifi applies! Although they are currently not offering any student discounts, they have pretty decent breakfast and lunch sets.
The Smoked Duck Miso Spagetti ($12.90) is a popular choice, while the Sambal Prawn Paste Chicken Burger ($13.90) sounds promising. Get the Lemon Mayo Baked Waffle Fries ($8.90) as a side, or sip on a unique creation of Ice Macadamia Nut Latte ($6.50).

4. Doi Chaang Coffee
This cafe that uses Thai roasted coffee beans serves a dainty selection of Mille Crepe cakes, perfect for that post-lecture peckish itch. Sandwiched between Rochester Park and Star Vista, it is quaint enough to temporarily retreat from the mid-terms blue. Pair their signature Iced Doi Chaang ($6.50) with a Mango Mille Crepe Cake ($6.90) to sweeten up any of your days.

5. Pies & Coffee
There’s plenty of spaces for you to clock in some work amidst the tea-time break at Pies & Coffee – from alfresco sofa seats, comfy woven tables and chairs to the cooling indoor seats. It’s understandable to take some time to decide on your order here, as their offerings do not just include a generous range of pies, baked rice and lasagna, breakfast sets, pancakes and desserts are available as well.
Besides their Charcoal Crust Curry Chicken Pie ($11.20), the Lobster Bisque Baked Rice ($14.90) sounds equally indulgent. Those looking for a lighter bite might want to try the Hungarian Beef Goulash Pot Pie ($14.50) or feel free to opt for a Teh Tarik Cake ($4.90) to reminisce that bit of local flavour.
