Here’s a new trendy spot to hit up on the weekends: Heartware Store is a new creative hotspot and lifestyle store in Singapore with some of the most unique and downright quirky finds you probably won’t be able to find anywhere else!
@shout.sg This new quirky lifestyle store is a hidden gem: they’ve got rare & unique vintage and retro items from $2, and also hold pop-up art exhibitions! Heartware Store address:350B Joo Chiat Rd,Singapore 427598
The space houses a store/retail area and also a gallery, where they’ll host a series of pop-up art exhibitions and events. The vibe of the store is pretty unique, with an old-school feel that’s modelled after a market or hawker stall display, complete with a “food hygiene rating” sticker as well.

They source some rare vintage finds, odd trinkets and art objects from Singapore and overseas too, including retro items from our parents’ and even grandparents’ generation. You’ll find a wide variety of lifestyle items here: from decor, nostalgic memorabilia, old-school toys, vintage paper bags, pre-loved clothes, stationery, kitchenware, dishware and more.

Some of the unique old-school (and discontinued) items you might spot here include plastic kids chopsticks, Sailor Moon mahjong tiles, vintage Singapore stamps, Japanese washing sponges, mini fishing kits, “antique” toy watches and retro desk lamps, among others. You might also be able to spot some interesting items in-store: like keychains made from actual Po Chai Pill bottles, the hard-to-find Takkab Anti-Cough Pills from Thailand, realistic potato-shaped decor and even a working clock that looks just like an ashtray!

Items in-store start from $2 each, and some of the items you might find include:
Fruit Plushies (from $32)

The space also acts as a gallery and exhibition area, and currently they’re housing Tess Smith-Roberts Solo Exhibition from now till 25th May 2025. Tess Smith-Roberts is a London-based artist and illustrator, with a colourful and whimsical style featuring mainly food like fruits and pastries. For her Singapore debut exhibition, Tess has included some local-inspired elements into the artworks: like durian, kaya toast and kopi, just to name a few. There’s also a giant larger-than-life inflatable cherry installation where you can snap photos with.

You can shop all of the artworks and prints displayed (while stocks last), and there will also be a selection of exclusive merchandise items available to purchase. Some of the merchandise available include fruit plushies, pleated tote bags, sticker packs, embroidered caps, postcards and more.
