Corner Corner is the latest addition to Duxton Road, and is inspired by a traditional kissaten—a Japanese tea shop that serves coffee and tea. The space is intimate and moody, with rustic vintage vibes, dark wood countertops and also a skylight to let in some natural sun during the day. The café concept is only open on weekdays from 12pm to 5pm, after which the space becomes a cool Japanese-style cocktail bar helmed by RPM by D.Bespoke.

The vintage lights, chandeliers, antique-style decor, delicate porcelain dishware and drinkware also add to the nostalgic retro ambience. The walls are also covered in shelves of vinyl records from which they’ll be playing a selection of specially curated music; but unfortunately, music requests for specific vinyl records aren’t accepted here.

They serve Japanese coffee, tea and housemade floats (from $6), along with a modest selection of sweets. For drinks, you can go for their Coffee of the Day ($6), Seasonal Pour-Over (from $8), Kukicha ($8), Cold Brew Gyokuro ($9) or Melon Soda Float ($8), among others.
