Things To Do This Weekend (14 – 16 October)

With some big acts hitting the shore this weekend, get ready for a dose of nostalgia with Morrissey, and try your hand at several workshops we’ve picked out for you.
1. Morrissey

source

Frontman of indie-rock band The Smiths is coming to Singapore, giving us a chance to relive our troubled teenage days. While we have given up hope of a reunion, Morrissey’s tour of Southeast Asia is a testament to how even after three decades, The Smiths’ music still lives on in all their fans. After they disbanded, Morrissey started a solo career and his most recent album, World Peace Is None Of Your Businesswas one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2014. His last sold out performance here in 2012 was touted by the Straits Times as “the best concert of the year”. Don’t miss out on a night where nostalgia will be thick in the air, and the crooning vocals of lyrical genius that is Morrissey.
