This weekend is packed with exciting events that will be sure to keep your veins pumping with energy. It is only this weekend that you can have your chance to live your “Wipeout” dreams at the DBS Marina Regatta, snag a great deal at The PC Show or sing and dance away all your pent-up stress at the NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra.
1. DBS Marina Regatta 2017

Singapore’s Biggest Bayfest is back again this year! Revel in Singapore’s tropical heat at DBS Marina Regatta with part of the CBD being transformed into a pop-up urban beach. It’s here where you can become Singapore’s very own “Ninja Warrior” as you battle through an inflatable water obstacle course which spans across 11,000 square feet. If “Wipeout” isn’t really your thing, head on to watch the dragonboat races, participate in outdoor yoga and the flea market or escape the heat and grab coconut cocktails and beers from the renowned Bali beach club, Potato Head Folk.
Beyond daylight, EDM fans can get into the mood for ULTRA next weekend with the exclusive pre-party to the music event that will feature regional DJs and acts.

4. NParks Concert Series in the Park : Rockestra

Belt out to popular tunes of the 60’s-90’s (think ABBA, The Beatles and Queen) with local musicians at NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra. With the annual concert going retro this year, go down dressed in your flashiest retro outfit, have a picnic under the stars and groove out to these classic tunes (that we all know by heart). There will also be prizes to be won with every uploaded photo that has the event’s hashtag.

5. Gardens Extravaganza Special, Gardens by the Bay

Celebrate Gardens by the Bay’s 5th anniversary at their Gardens Extravaganza Special this weekend. Portraying the growth and journey of the Garden over the years, dancers and aerial performers will perform against the dramatic projections cast on the Supertrees. Continuing the story of growth, there will also be a pyrotechnics show and a drone display across the night sky to represent the future of Gardens by the Bay.

The 30-minute evening showcase will only take place this weekend but for the rest of the month, there will be a video showcase which will tell the story of the Gardens’ growth. After the showcase, stick around and join in on other exciting activities such as a dance party, light installations, movie screenings and food stalls.

6. Singapore Street Festival

Bask in the vibes and soak in the energy of street Art as Singapore Street Festival returns to the streets this weekend. With this year’s theme being “Uncharted”, youths are given the opportunity to explore the unfamiliar and create new experiences for themselves by participating in the different performing art competitions. However, if you deem yourself unskilled in these areas, you can always catch the Urban Street Football match, watch bellydancers shake their hips or be awed by the breakdancing skills of b-boys and b-girls.

7. Pets Picnic Party 2017

Pet owners – here’s your chance to soak in some Vitamin D with your furry friend. With the event revolving around a Hawaiian theme, this will be the perfect opportunity for you and your pet to don that Hawaiian outfit, have a picnic and bond with other pet owners! Accompanying the picnic will be a flea market, live music performances, stage games and a free of charge (yes, we had you at free) photobooth to immortalise these memories.
