Mochi lovers have something to look forward to this coming February 2024, as Japan’s famous Warabimochi Kamakura is opening its first Southeast Asian outlet right here in Singapore! Warabimochi Kamakura has over 50 outlets in Japan, and they’ll be opening their first Singapore outlet at the new One Holland Village mall from 3rd February 2024 onwards!

Like the name suggests: Warabimochi Kamakura specialises in handcrafted warabi mochi—a lighter, more gelatinous type of mochi that’s not as stretchy or chewy as regular mochi, and traditionally topped with kinako (soybean) powder. Kamakura’s artisanal warabi mochi will be sold by the box at the new Singapore outlet starting from $7.90 each.

Aside from traditional warabi mochi, Kamakura is also known for their modern iterations of the traditional dessert, in the form of unique warabi mochi dessert drinks. These dessert drinks start from $5.90 each, and come in flavours like Strawberry Yogurt, Coffee Milk, Asakawa-en Matcha, Tenku No Houjicha and more. As an opening special from 3rd to 5th February 2024, you can enjoy 1-for-1 on selected drinks, namely: Asakawa-en Matcha, Coffee Milk, Tenku No Houjicha, Strawberry Milk/Yogurt from just $2.95 each (UP. $5.90)!
